Individuals who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 are no longer required to provide a negative PCR test. However, they must provide a vaccination certificate. A fully vaccinated individual is one who is 18 years and older who has received full doses of the Covid-19 vaccination (usually two). If however, more than six months have passed since the second dose, they are required to have had their third booster vaccination. Children aged 12 – 17 years are considered fully vaccinated if they have received at least two doses of the Covid-19 vaccination.
Unvaccinated visitors who are 12 years of age and older are required to provide a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken at least 72 hours prior to departure OR a rapid antigen test taken 24 hours before departure to Seychelles. Tests are not required for children under 12 years.
Visitors are required to apply for Health Travel Authorization (HTA). This can be done through the online portal at https://seychelles.govtas.com (please see below for more information on the HTA).
Visitors must have valid travel health insurance that will cover Covid-19 testing, clinical care, isolation and quarantine, if necessary.
Visitors may move around freely during their holiday, but they must adhere to the public health guidelines in place.
Visitors must report any illness to their hotel management, health centre or public health authority.
Visitors who develop symptoms may be subject to further testing.
Some airlines and countries may require PCR tests prior to departure. Test facilities are available on the three main islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue.
Visitors are asked to contact the Public Health Authority at least a week prior to departure. This can be done via email on [email protected] or by calling +248 4388410.
For more information about the test centre locations, please visit the Seychelles Visitor Travel Advisory Document from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism (linked below).
