There is no shortage of amazing things to see and do while in Seychelles. It may be tiny compared to the likes of London or Paris, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less spectacular. From the colonial architecture, vibrant market stalls, galleries and museums, you’re sure to be amazed.

If you’re interested in discovering more about some of Seychelles’ endemic plant life, then definitely visit the Botanical Gardens. It’s only about a 10 minute walk from the edge of Victoria.
The second largest island, Praslin, should also be on your list of islands to visit. Here you’ll find the Vallee de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the endemic Coco De Mer Palm.
La Digue is the home of the famous Anse Source d’Argent beach as well as L’union Estate. Wander through to see the old copra house as well as the burial grounds of La Digue’s first settlers. Diving and snorkelling are popular activities for holiday-makers to the Seychelles, and for good reason. Seychelles has some of the best diving spots in the world and many travel great distances for the opportunity to swim alongside our incredible sea life.
Seychelles has a number of hiking trails where you can enjoy being closer to nature while at the same time taking in gorgeous views of the surrounding ocean and islands. You should definitely try and fit in at least one hike during your holiday.
Whether you’re staying at a fancy hotel or in self-catering accommodation, be sure to dine out in one of Seychelles’ top restaurants at least once. Although shopping may not be on your list of to-do’s while in Seychelles, try and check out some of the local souvenir shops. You’ll be amazed at the items you can find. Seychellois artists and crafts men and women are incredibly talented and most of what they create is made out of local products or recycled items. You’re bound to find something special to take back with you as a memento of your holiday.
A visit to the Eden Island Plaza is another great way to spend an afternoon. Choose from a number of restaurants to grab a bite, then have a wander around the shops before relaxing in the afternoon sun while gazing out at the sea.
This is definitely one for the honeymooners. Nothing can compare to relaxing on a yacht with your other half while sipping champagne and watching one of Seychelles’ gorgeous sunsets.
